How to generate and download a full backup of your cPanel Account?

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. In the “Files” section, click on “Backup” Icon.

3. Under “Full Backup“, click on the “Download a Full Website backup” button.

4. From the drop-down menu, select the backup destination as “Home” and enter your email address in the e-mail field so that you can receive notification when the backup is complete.

Once the cPanel backup is done, you will get the notification and the backup will be available on the Full backup page for download in the “Backups Available for Download” list.

How to Download Backup of Home Directory, MySQL or E-mail Only?

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. In the “Files” option, press on “Backup Wizard” Icon.

3. in the “Backup or Restore” text, hit on the “Backup” button.

4. In the 2nd step “Full or Partial Backup” field, in the “Select Partial Backup“, you need to just press on “Home Directory” to download home directory only or should you would like to download only “MySQL Databases“, press on “MySQL Database“.

5. Now click on the “Download” link/button.

How to generate a cPanel backup and sent to FTP Server?

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. within the “Files” section, click on “Backup” Icon.

3. Below “Full Backup”, Click on “Download a Full website Backup” button.

 

4. Under Dropdown menu, choose the Backup destination to “Remote FTP Server”, In Email option insert your email address.

Remote Server: FTP IP address or FTP domain name like ftp.example.com,
Remote User: Your FTP Username
Remote Password: Your FTP Password
Port: 21 or different FTP Port
Remote Dir: Remote Directory like /home/username/backupfolder/

5. Once you fill within the Remote FTP details, click on the “Generate Backup” button.

How to Restore cPanel Backup?

1. Log into your cPanel account.
2. Within the “Files” section, click on “Backup Wizard” Icon.

3. Below “Backup/Restore” text, click on the “Restore” button.

4. Below “Select Restore Type”, select the suitable possibility.

 

5. Click on “Browse”, choose your backup file from your computer, and click on the “Upload” button.

How to Change the SolusVM Account Email Address?

If you want to bring up to date your SolusVM VPS Control panel email address, go through the following instruction.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.

2. Select appropriate one, If you have multiple VPS.

3. In the Top Bar Menu, click on “My Account”.

4. Beneath “Account Settings”, enter your new email address in the email field and click on “Update Settings”.

How to check whether the VPS status is “online” or “offline”?

You can find out in the client area or from the SolusVM Control Panel if you want to check your SolusVM VPS status and determine whether the VPS is offline or online.

1. Login to your SolusVM Control Panel.
2. If you have various VPS, select the proper one.

3 Under your VPS hostname. You can see the VPS details. Then check “Status” is it offline or online and If your VPS is offline, it will display “Offline”. If the VPS is online, it will display “Online” or “Unavailable”.
